As a lifelong athlete and advocate for active living, I've always prioritized physical well-being. My passion for sports, from soccer to family activities, fuels my energy and mental health. After studying biomedical ethics and experiencing community-focused medicine in Cuba, I pursued medical school. I earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Virginia, played Division 1 soccer, and attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. My medical training included a deep dive into Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, a Family Medicine residency, and a Sports Medicine fellowship. I established Maine's first orthopedic walk-in clinic before founding Leeward Health + Wellness to provide personalized, comprehensive care.Alison S. Lee, DO, is a Primary Care and Sports Medicine doctor specializing in overall musculoskeletal health and well-being. She founded Leeward Health in 2020 after being continually disenchanted with brief visits, insurance constraints, and a culture of problem-based medicine. Dr. Lee aims to prioritize patients' holistic well-being. Her approach involves tailoring treatment plans to individual lifestyles, encompassing nutrition, sleep, stress management, exercise, and more. At Leeward, our goal is to keep patients happy, healthy, vibrant, and comfortable in their skin.
