Jim Trakis has been in the physical therapy field since 2003. He graduated from Gettysburg College with a BA in Biology in 2000, and completed his doctoral degree in physical therapy at Drexel University. Jim has since garnered over a decade of experience treating orthopedic and sports medicine related injuries. He specializes in understanding how your injury affects your life and generating the most specific rehabilitative program. He utilizes an eclectic combination of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, taping techniques, and modalities to help restore function. Jim also coordinates sports medicine coverage for the soccer teams at the New York Athletic Club and provides injury prevention training for the baseball team at the Moorestown Friends School. Jim, his wife, and two kids live in Moorestown New Jersey. Jim is very active with his children as a baseball, travel soccer, and flag football coach. He is an avid runner and participates in local athletic leagues.Fortius Physical Therapy was established in NYC in January of 2008. The Moorestown office was opened in January of 2015; come check us out! We offer personalized therapy in a friendly and comfortable environment in our Moorestown office. We try to make utilizing our services convenient for our patients as we offer hours early morning, midday, and after work. We are conveniently located on Marter avenue, halfway between Main Street and Wegman's. We are within a half mile of the intersection of I-295 and route 38. Jim Trakis is the therapist at our Moorestown location. He keeps the rehabilitative process efficient and positive. With over twelve years of experience, Jim is committed to providing the highest quality of patient first care. Our support staff is enthusiastic about making your experience at Fortius hassle free. They take care of everything from making sure you understand your insurance benefits to making you a vitamin drink and playing your favorite song!

With the help of family and friends, Jim Trakis founded and launched Fortius Physical Therapy ('Fortius' is from the Olympic motto, 'Altius, Citius, Fortius', translated 'higher, swifter, stronger') into the rehabilitative world in January of 2008 with the opening of our New York City office. In January of 2015, with a similar grassroots effort, Jim Trakis and staff opened a second office in Moorestown, New Jersey. Since inception, it has been our mission to provide highly personalized care and to exceed our patients' expectations. Our treatment programs start with getting to know you first. We work to understand you, your goals, and the problems you're experiencing. From there, we apply the science of healing and a wealth of experience to generate best the rehabilitative plan of care for you. When we created the vision for Fortius physical therapy, it was essential that we would provide care across rehabilitative, performance enhancement, and injury prevention fronts. Physical therapy services focus on orthopedic conditions across the lifespan with care provided in a personalized and friendly manner. All patients are educated on how to stave off future issues and given tips to enhance functional performance whether that patient's goal is to return to the sports field or to be able to sit properly to stave off low back pain. We also provide specific injury prevention and sports performance enhancement programs for local soccer, lacrose, and baseball teams.
