Archana Rao is a fully qualified Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine and is a licensed California Massage Therapist. She completed her academic studies in 1996 at Gujarat University, in India, where she received her B.A.M.S (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree. This course lasted five years and was succeeded by six months of internship. As an integral part of the B.A.M.S degree, Archana completed extensive training in a variety for Ayurveda herbs and therapy techniques, including: Marma Massage PanchaKarma Therapy Shirodhara Indian Head Massage Traditional Abhyanga Bastis Nasya Swedana Archana worked as an Ayurvedic Practitioner in India from 1996 - 1999, in London (U.K) from 2000 - 2004, and has since been an Ayurvedic consultant residing in the Bay Area in California. This mindset of constant learning is the backbone of her approach as an Ayurvedic healer. In 2008, Archana founded Ayutherapy, which has blossomed into her full-time passion. Based in Danville, California, Ayutherapy is now an Ayurveda Wellness Center specializing in healing and overall wellness, offering customized, proven treatments and health guidance to address both specific ailments and preventative care.
