Dr. David Nygaard

Dr.Nygaard and Lesa are incredibly kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. My quality of life has IMMENSELY improved since coming here a year ago. I have Ehlers Danlos and was living with chronic pain, I feel like I’ve gotten my life back! I highly recommend this office to people with EDS like me.

C'est une trouvaille rare et son expérience, ses connaissances et ses compétences incroyablement précises sont un cadeau ! Je pensais que la santé de ma colonne vertébrale n'allait pas s'améliorer, mais il m'a prouvé que j'avais totalement tort. Si vous souffrez de problèmes de colonne vertébrale, de douleurs à la hanche, au cou, etc., vous ne regretterez pas d'avoir invité le Dr Nygaard dans votre parcours de guérison !

Before going to Atlas Brain and Body, I had a great deal of pain in my neck. My doctors chalked it up to old age and arthritis. I had pain in my lower back, knees, and feet as well, but the neck pain was the worst and was the reason I sought treatment. I could barely turn my head. It was even painful to sleep. To say I was discouraged would be a huge understatement. At first, I didn't notice much improvement in my neck, although the pain in my lower back, knees, and feet improved quickly, and surprisingly, after just a few visits. My neck didn't seem to be getting better for several weeks. One day, it hurt so much that I was tempted to take pain meds. But the next day, the pain was almost gone. After 6 weeks of treatments, I am noticing a marked improvement, to the point where I have periods of no pain at all, alternating with mild pain. My range of motion is drastically improved. My sleep is painless. If it stayed the way it is now, I would say Dr. Nygaard worked a miracle. However, I have no doubt it will continue to improve with his treatments. Speaking of the treatments, he doesn't grab your head and give it a yank. Nothing like that. It's all very gentle. I didn't even feel the treatment from the Atlas Orthogonal machine, but I felt different afterwards. The relaxing roller bed treatment at the end of each visit caps it off nicely. The office is very easy to get to, although I would not recommend parking in their garage unless you're driving a motorcycle or very small car. There is street parking nearby that's just a short walk to the office. Lesa is the first person I talked to. She is so friendly and personable and is happy to answer any questions about insurance, appointments, directions to the office, etc. I haven't actually found a question she couldn't answer. Doc's dog, Jamaal, is such a delightful part of the office staff. He seems to know who the dog lovers are and happily solicits pets from them when he's not lying on the floor just chilling. I live 1 1/2 hours away from Atlas Brain and Body, but it's well worth the drive. I can recommend Dr. Nygaard and his practice without reservation.
