Dr. David Nygaard

As a 56 year old woman with Ehler's Danlos Syndrome, I searched for a chiropractor who works with cervical spine issues (and a focus on the Atlas) basically as a last resort effort before considering neck surgery. I found Dr. Nygaard and Lesa to be friendly, skilled and thoughtful with the approach to my treatment plan. I did not have high expectations and have been really wonderfully surprised at the difference in my pain, function , mood and cognition. My atlas (upper cervical spine) misalignment was contributing to so many problems and, as a nurse practitioner, I hadn't understood the magnitude with which the misalignment could contribute to nervous system problems and chronic fatigue symptoms. I am truly grateful for the treatment I have received and the improvements in all of my varied symptoms and function and encourage people who are considering neck surgery to try this kind of chiropractic care first!

I am always a skeptic about medical treatment. My wife suddested Atlas Brain and Body, so being a good husband that listens, I went for visit. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Lesa greeted me as I entered the office. She was very welcoming and guided me through the process. Jamal greeted me and made me feel welcome. Dr. Nygaard invited me into the exaimantion area. He asked me what brought me in. I reviewed my aches and pains, and he asked questions about recent and past traumas that may be the root cause of my problems. During this time, I noted that my neck was not as mobile as it use to be. I was in a bad car accidents in May of 2024 but I did not make any connection to this being a possible cause. After listening and then taking x-rays, Dr.Nygaard shared the results and then we talked about ways to address the issues. He was very precise and clear on what type of treatment was needed. He made sure that I was part of the success of my treatment.I was still skeptical after the first treatment. No big deal, nothing really different. Dr. Nygaard had shared that it would take a more than a few treatments to make a difference. I noticed a difference after my third or forth treatment, my body was moving and the orginal soreness was gone, I was experiencing a ease of movement not only with my neck but in my body. I have now completed mutiple treatments and I am moving much better and have little to no pain. Am I still skeptical, sometimes, but I do know that my body is doing much better. I suggest that you try Atlas Brain and Body to improve your overall health.

I am so grateful for Dr. Nygaard and his excellent care. He is a rare find and his experience, knowledge, and incredibly precise skills are a gift! I thought my spinal health was not going to improve but he has proven me so wrong.
