How Record Sharing Works
Medximity's central patient record means your providers can access relevant information with your explicit consent. You control exactly what gets shared and with whom.
Consent Levels
Medximity uses a three-tier consent model:
- Auto-shared — Basic demographics (name, contact info, insurance) shared with all connected providers.
- Consent-required — Clinical records (notes, labs, imaging) require your explicit authorization per provider.
- Never shared — Private communications and payment details are never shared between providers.
Granting Access
- Go to Records > Sharing Preferences.
- Select the provider you want to grant access to.
- Choose which record categories to share.
- Confirm with your account password.
You can revoke access at any time from the same screen.
