Mr. Spallone is the founder and owner of Function First Physical Therapy, P.C., since June of 2001. He graduated from The University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Athletic Training and a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1990 at University of Connecticut. He relocated to New York City and with worked a New York Hospital. Then, left to focus on out-patient orthopedics with a physical therapy owned private practice in NYC. In which he was committed to enhancing his expertise in orthopedic dysfunction and rehabilitation. He received his Board Certification in Orthopedics in 1998, from the APTA Board of PT Specialties and was certified as a Functional Manual Therapist, from The Institute of Physical Art in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Function First Physical Therapy, P.C., are members with Hospitals for Special Surgeries' Rehabilitation Network. Joseph received his Doctorates in 2004 and has grown to become the largest provider of post-professional educational programs in the PT industry.Function First Physical Therapy P.C., a 100 % physical therapist owned private orthopedic practice, has been returning patients to their full function of everyday demands and sports performance for over 12 years in the Flatiron/Chelsea section of Manhattan. We would like to personally thank all of our current/ former patients and referring physicians for spreading the word and allowing us the privilege to continue to serve our community. Our highly skilled rehabilitation specialists combine traditional physical therapy techniques, alternative philosophies, and sound evidence-based research to eliminate pain, improve function and meet your maximal potential.
