How to Update Your Practice Address, Phone Number, and Business Hours on Medximity

Why Keeping Your Practice Information Current Matters

Patients use Medximity to find and contact providers near them. If your address is wrong online, patients may not be able to find your practice — and some will simply choose another provider. Incorrect contact information directly affects patient appointments: missed calls, wrong-location arrivals, and lost new-patient opportunities. Keeping your profile accurate protects your practice's visibility in search results and ensures patients can reach you without friction.

How to Update Your Practice Address

Follow these steps to change your practice location on your Medximity listing:

  1. Log in to your Medximity provider dashboard at medximity.com.
  2. Select Edit Profile from the left navigation menu.
  3. Click the Practice Info tab.
  4. Locate the Address field and enter your updated street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Note on NPI registry discrepancies: If your Medximity address was pre-populated from the NPI registry, it may differ from your current location. You can override the NPI address directly in the Address field — your manual entry takes precedence on your public profile.

How to Update Your Phone Number

Use these steps to correct a wrong phone number showing on your health provider profile:

  1. In your dashboard, go to Edit Profile > Practice Info.
  2. Locate the Practice Phone field.
  3. Clear the existing number and enter the correct practice phone number.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Important: Enter your practice's main line only. Personal mobile numbers are not displayed on your public profile.

How to Update Your Business Hours

Accurate hours prevent patients from arriving when your practice is closed. Medximity supports three hours types:

  • Regular hours — your standard weekly schedule
  • Holiday hours — overrides for specific dates
  • Temporary closures — date-range closures with an optional note

To update your regular hours:

  1. Go to Edit Profile > Hours & Availability.
  2. Toggle each day on or off using the day switches.
  3. For active days, set your Open and Close times using the time dropdowns.
  4. To add holiday hours or a temporary closure, select Add Special Hours and enter the date range and note.
  5. Click Save Hours.

Mobile note: All hours fields are available on mobile browsers, but the time dropdowns are easier to use on desktop. For complex schedules, editing on desktop is recommended.

What Happens After You Save

After clicking Save Changes or Save Hours, you will see a green confirmation banner at the top of the page confirming your update was received. Your public profile typically reflects the change within 15–30 minutes. In some cases — particularly address updates — full propagation across search indexing may take up to 24 hours.

Troubleshooting: When Fields Won't Update

A field is greyed out and I can't edit it. Some fields are locked if your profile is pending verification or if your account requires an admin to approve changes. Contact Medximity support to unlock the field. My healthcare provider directory information is not updating after I saved. Hard-refresh your browser (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) and check your profile in a private/incognito window. If the old data still appears after 24 hours, contact support. Why is my phone number still wrong on the directory after I updated it? Confirm the change was saved by returning to Edit Profile > Practice Info and verifying the number shown. If the field reverted, your session may have timed out before saving. Re-enter the number and save again. My address shows my NPI registry address, not my current location. Manually enter your current address in the Address field and save. Your manual entry overrides the NPI registry data on your Medximity profile.

Still Need Help?

If your practice information is still not displaying correctly after following these steps, the Medximity support team can investigate your profile directly. Reach out through your provider dashboard by selecting Help & Support from the left navigation menu, or visit the Medximity Help Center for additional resources.
