Ryan D

Ryan is a native of Santa Cruz and received his Masters in Physical Therapy in 2004, and Bachelor's in Kinesiology in 2002, from CSU Sacramento. His clinical interests include sports medicine, spinal conditions and rehabilitation for return to sport. He has worked with many high school, college and professional athletes and has been published in the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT) and the Physical Therapy Journal (PTJ).He has completed numerous courses in the management of orthopedic, sports medicine and spinal conditions, is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) with additional certifications as an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), NASM Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Screen Certified Professional and a CrossFit Level 1 Coach. He lives in Pleasure Point with his wife and children and can be found surfing in and around the East Side.DeWitt Physical Therapy represents the fulfillment of a long held dream to open a progressive and integrative physical therapy practice that blends manual therapy and exercise. In late 2010, the opportunity to be a part of Rocky's Personal Training studio expansion was presented, and the dream began to take shape. We opened doors 4/14/11 and haven't looked back. We strive to provide progressive, evidence-based treatments in an active environment to the Santa Cruz community. Now in our own location since 2013, our growing team of specialists has been able to improve the rehab experience for thousands in our active community.
