Scott is Owner and Founder of WPT, and is only one of the excellent Physical Therapists whom help patients at Wholistic Physical Therapy. Each appointment, as well as the free 15' consult would be with any of the therapists, based on whom is available to meet with you and address your needs, we work as a team.Founded by Scott van Niekerk, Wholistic Physical Therapy has grown into a epicenter for the chosen treatment approach - Myofascial Release.

WPT is a beautiful, free standing building which is easily accessible off Route 22 in Brewster NY, which is on the border of Westchester and Putnam counties, close to major highways.
We are specialists in an incredible form of hands on therapy called Myofascial Release. This is an advanced form of bodywork that relieves pain and dysfunction.
Our clinic has a chic, very mellow, spa like atmosphere, with soft music, and above all ONE-ON-ONE attention to each client for a whole hour with the Physical Therapist.
All the Physical Therapists are licensed, experienced and highly skilled. All have specialty training from John Barnes, PT (the founder of Myofascial Release) in his approach - Myofascial Release, as well as their traditional PT training.

Most excellent care from each therapist. My therapist, Luanne, stays with me the whole time, showing me exercises that help with strengthening etc.and also massages troubled painful areas. The staff are welcoming and are interested in your well being.

Scott asked all the right questions and determined the problem quickly and immediately went to work to begin solving issue. Relief was immediate but Scott offered exercises to continue healing and look forward to returning to assess progress.

I drove past Wholistic PT for years and always wondered what happens there. I had a knee arthroscopy last year that required PT and booked with Scott. From the moment I met him, I knew how fortunate I was. He is warm, compassionate and powerful when needed. Also, deeply intuitive, knowledgable and calming. I can't imagine having a better PT for healing my knee. Additionally, the entire staff has always been friendly and accommodating.

I only saw Scott twice, but in those two sessions of cranial therapy, I was in less pain. If could have the treatment every day, I would. Since I didn't know what to expect of cranial therapy, I was thinking more of a head massage, but it's so much more - pressure points, ear stimulation, etc. While it is out of network; thankfully my FSA card works with their practice. I highly recommend Scott and the practice.
