Founded in 2003, Wellness Rehabilitation was started by physical therapist Cynthia Weiss, who wanted to change people's lives by giving them the confidence to achieve their goals of an active, mobile lifestyle without the use of pain medications or surgery. Wellness Rehabilitation Inc. opened to improve the lives of our clients by focusing our attention on them so they can make the best informed decisions concerning their health and ultimately be able to participate in whatever brings joy to their lives. Through extensive continuing education, Cynthia honed her manual skills to include acupressure, joint and soft tissue mobilization, strain and counterstrain. She is also learned in assessing and treating breast cancer. Cynthia is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist as well as certified in Pilates Rehabilitation. Cynthia's years of experience allows her to evaluate the cause of an injury and then rehabilitate the body as a whole.Began a cash based private practice to be able to focus all my attention on a patient/client without being dictated by insurance on how to treat them or how long I can see them. The practice specializes in orthopedic injuries, breast cancer patients, and Pilates rehab. Recently began Pilates/exercise classes and will give workshops on various topics like osteoporosis, back pain management. A quarterly newsletter goes out discussing topics of interest in the medical/rehab field.
