A propos

Steve is a co-owner of the Therapy Institute. He graduated from the Wayne State University PT program in 1982 after first graduating from Michigan State University in 1980. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) and is a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He teaches continuing education courses to Physical Therapists around the country in the area of orthopedic manual therapy. He enjoys flying his homebuilt RV7a airplane.The Therapy Institute is a therapist owned private PT practice that has served the physical therapy needs of the Greater Lansing area since 1989. We provide a unique approach to physical therapy. We specialize in orthopedic, manual physical therapy. Various members of our staff have received training internationally, are board certified as orthopedic physical therapists, have been awarded fellowship status in the practice of manual physical therapy, and teach at area physical therapy schools. Our therapists work individually with each client at every session to create and implement a treatment plan that is unique, personalized and comprehensive. The Therapy Institute has been recognized since 2006 as a Low Back Pain Center Of Excellence by Blue Care Network. We are one of only a handful of physical therapy facilities to receive this distinction. Our unique approach to physical therapy treatment offers our clients treatment options not found at other physical therapy facilities.
