Brian was born and raised in Orange County. He attended UCLA where he obtained his B.S. Degree in Kinesiology in 1985. He then attended UCSF where he obtained his Post-Graduate Degree in Physical Therapy. Brian was ranked third for academic excellence in his graduating class of 8500 at UCLA. His academic awards include: - Summa Cum Laude (3.99 GPA) - Departmental Highest Honors - Departmental Outstanding Senior - Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society Brian has specialized in manual therapy. He has developed unique techniques of joint mobilization and soft tissue mobilization which have proven to be effective. Brian loves to spend time with and get to know each patient individually. He genuinely cares and has a passion for helping each patient reach their physical therapy goals and potential. Brian believes that "State-of-the-Art Physical Therapy is not just a place where everybody knows your name, but a place where everybody is treated like family."In 1986, twin brothers, Brian and Barry Wong, set out with a very simple philosophy for their patients, "treat each patient with the same care, compassion and concern like we would with our own family members". This core value was the foundation of building their practice at State-of-the-Art Physical Therapy. This includes hiring experienced staff to provide a gentle, caring rehabilitation environment. Today, Brian remains as the sole owner of State-of-the-Art Physical Therapy. He continues to incorporate the same traditional values that launched the business 24 years ago which is the cornerstone to providing quality individualized physical therapy: "Treat patients the same way you want to be treated."
