A propos

Brenda is a California licensed acupuncturist, National Diplomate of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Corrective Exercise Specialist. She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bachelor of Arts in Chinese language from San Francisco State University, Corrective Exercise Specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and she also spent a year studying abroad at Peking University (北京大学). As a lifelong athlete and martial artist, Brenda enjoys treating sports injuries by incorporating corrective exercises, Tui Na massage, cupping, and nutrition into her treatments. She also has a special interest in treating digestive disorders and stress and enjoys prescribing herbs and consulting patients on their diets and lifestyle in order to facilitate change and healing.Spot of Qi Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine opened for business in the spring of 2012. Initially, I was working as a general practitioner; however, over time I started to have more patients coming in for sports injuries and pain, which was great since I had specialized training in that area. Now, I'd say I see a very wide range of conditions, the bulk of which are for orthopedic injuries, stress and anxiety, and insomnia.
