I am endlessly fascinated by our bodies amazing ability to heal itself. To me, bodywork is just one step of the journey to feeling more connected with ourselves. My role as a healer is to assist in that process, to listen, to pay attention to the details, to relax and enliven the life-force. I studied both Eastern and Western modalities at McKinnon School of Bodywork in Oakland. I am trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger-Point Release, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Reflexology, Hot Stone, Myofascial Cupping, and Trauma-informed care. My approach involves incorporating multiple modalities into each session, tailored to the specific needs of each client, which is why client communication is key to getting the most out of every session. Through my knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western practices, energy healing, and anatomy and physiology, my sessions are slow, deep, and intentional. My goal is to bring clients closer to a pain-free lifestyle. CMT #74459

Long story short: Andrea is an incredibly talented massage therapist, and working together made a very positive impact on my life. I was looking back at my earliest booking receipts and realized that I had been seeing her for over six years before we moved away from Oakland. Prior to working with her, I had seen many different massage therapists, liked a few, but each session felt like starting from scratch. In contrast, each session with Andrea felt like picking up right where you left off. I never saw her take notes, but she had an excellent memory and frequently followed up on things we'd worked on in past sessions. She's welcoming, curious, encourages dialogue, and constantly brought new ideas to my treatments. She'd weave the things that worked well into our next sessions, and quickly discarded things that didn't. She is deceptively strong and very skilled at applying strong pressure. We'd often talk about root causes behind issues I was experiencing, and those conversations made me more aware and attentive to my body during everyday life.

I've been going to Andrea for years. Throughout the process she checks in and the whole experience is amazing. I've tried other practices especially when I'm traveling, but each time there hasn't been any massages as relaxing or healing as Andrea's.
