Thom Shenk is a Certified Advanced Rolfer and Rolf Movement Practitioner having studied Structural Integration and graduated from the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado in 1999. He is also a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage (1988) and is nationally certified through the NCBTMB and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. His combined knowledge and understanding of bodywork is eclectic in nature as he assists clients in freeing their bodies from pain, discomfort, tension and the effects of gravity on the body's structure. I Have over 35 years of experience (2024) in the hands-on bodywork field. I have studied the muscles through Massage Therapy, the connective tissue (fascia) through Rolfing, the internal organs with Visceral Manipulation, the nervous system's movement/innervation with Craniosacral Therapy and Neuro-fascial Release, the energy/subtle bodies with Reiki/Sekhem and chakra balancing. Plus, many other modalities. I have worked in health clubs, spas, chiropractic offices, holistic health offices, Pilates centers and Physical therapy clinics. I have been Meditating regularly since 1981 and run Sweat Lodges and Vision Quests. I have a familiarity with yang style Tai Chi, Chi Gung and the Yogas.
