Hi! I'm Richard, a certified massage therapist living in Palm Springs, CA. Since 2012 I have been working, learning, and refining my skills, adding value to time spent with clients. I like my work because I get to meet all kinds of people. Earlier in life I dealt with bullying and rejection but when it comes to me and my work, I want my clients to feel welcome in an environment free of judgement. For years I wanted to be a dancer, taking professional training and learning about movement. Then I decided to join the US Navy for something completely different, exposing me to a spectrum of people and various parts of the world. The desire to be more personable and connected to people lead me to the career in massage therapy. I welcome all body types and genders. LGBTQ and other. Gay friendly business. Now I enjoy doing my best to help people get out of pain! When I'm not working, I like to hike, train my body, and get moving on the dance floor.After accumulating professional experience in a spa setting and finding my own unique style, I decided to form my identity and offer my treatment experience right in the comfort of guests' homes. I have had the pleasure of treating full and part- time locals and visitors with my blend of massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, pressure/trigger point therapy, and Reiki healing. This career path began with the desire to help others through soft tissue manipulation, a less invasive procedure compared to that of hospital settings. With that desire still intact, I continually seek out workshops to educate myself with new and updated techniques so that I may provide the best possible care. Massage therapy is more than just a knead and pushing on tissue; massage is a great preventative measure to illness and injury.
