Jules became interested in physical therapy and movement in 1979 when her brother Steve was paralyzed from a scoliosis surgery. She realized she had a gift for helping others and so began the journey that lead to the opening Pilates Plus. Jules background started in the Physical Therapy setting over 20 years ago. She worked in out-patient orthopedics as a physical therapist assistant, certified athletic trainer, certified biofeedback therapist and certified pilates instructor. Her brother Steve lived a very full life as he was an amazing person but he passed away in 2002 due to cancer. Steve left a beautiful legacy by helping make it possible to open the pilates studio a year later. Since this time the studio has continued to grow and thrive in this wonderful community and Jules has been able to continue her passion of helping others gain and/or maintain their health.Pilates Plus is a privately owned studio in Lakewood. We have been in business for over 13 years. The studio was established because the owner, Jules Jordan, felt that Pilates plays a vital role in the health and well being of people of all ages and abilities including those of us with injuries. Since first opening, Pilates Plus has expanded its services to include massage, physical therapy, feldenkrais and nutritional counseling.
