Over the last few years I have become more involved in educating the community about different health and wellness topics. The strength of my practice has been to help people to discover the different stresses in their daily lives that have created their problems and to help them to eliminate or work around these challenges. Also, to teach people about the fundamentals of chiropractic and different ways to live happy and healthier lives.Formerly of Appalachian Chiropractic and Wellness, in Brewster NY and Danbury CT, chiropractor Dr. Lisa Barker brings her experience in chiropractic to Hartsburg Chiropractic in Danbury CT.

My love and joy of practicing chiropractic has continued to grow since graduating cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 1999. Prior to joining Hartsburg Chiropractic Health Center LLC in 2012, I owned Appalachian Chiropractic and Wellness LLC. In 2003, I received my fellowship in pediatric and prenatal care from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Although I love working with pregnant women and children, I treat men and women of all ages.

Dr. Lisa Barker is an excellent chiropractor! As someone who has seen a chiropractor for decades and even managed a chiropractic office at one point, I needed to find someone skilled and deeply committed to the practice of chiropractic. Dr. Barker is that person. Her adjustments are gentle yet incredibly effective, and her office staff is friendly and supportive.
Additionally, Dr. Barker is a wonderful person who truly listens to your concerns. She is an expert in chiropractic care. I highly recommend Dr. Lisa Barker.

Dr. Barker listens to my needs, and asks questions that help identify the sources of stress and pain. She makes sure she’s explained and answered all my questions and concerns. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Barker and the office. I’ve been going here for a long time, and I’ve always had the best experiences. Scheduling is super easy, and Dr. Barker really cares how you feel and improve! Treatment suggestions are always practical and manageable, and everyone in the office is super nice, helpful, and accommodating. This is where you should be going!

I was in need of a renewal for my DOT physical, mine had expired and I needed it promptly, was put in touch with Dr. Barker, she immediately gave me her schedule and was able to fit me in the same day. Very thorough and actually cares about her patients, needless to say I will be returning in the future and highly recommend!

Dr Barker was very nice, informative and was able to make time for me on short notice. Dr Barker also called me on her day off from home to make sure I received everything I needed and explained everything throughly because this was my first time getting a USDOT medical certification. I highly recommend Dr Barker.
