Dr. Akiba Green, DNM

I found Dr. Green, with Lake Norman Integrative Wellness, at just the right time in my life. For years I had suffered through specialist after specialist ordering labs and telling me they were all normal and all of my symptoms must be due to me not being able to manage my emotions. After 17 years of that madness I was in desperate need of a highly trained practitioner who understood holistic concepts of the body being an organism composed of interconnected systems rather than a compartmentalized, segmented system, and who understood how to utilize the best tools for guiding the body into natural patterns of healing and wellness. Dr. Green was the first doctor out of 17 years of specialists to take the time to listen and compile the information from assessments and thorough, properly identified lab testing, in order to create a comprehensive clinical explanation of findings used to create custom protocols to truly address the root causes of all my debilitating symptoms. I was blown away that no other practitioner had even come close to Dr. Green’s findings and detailed treatment plan. And the other best part was his treatment plans utilized holistic tools to work with my body and nature in a harmonious way of supporting healing of rout causes and elimination of symptoms. It was truly life changing. I am forever grateful practitioners like Dr. Green and his treatment clinic, Lake Norman Integrative Wellness, exist. I started seeing Dr, Green in August of 2023. I had a large amount of bloodwork and other lab testing done. I completed 8 months of his “program” which included visits with him… FCT therapy and all the additional therapies offered in the office, a long with a strict lifestyle change. Let me start by saying his office staff is amazing and to be honest probably the ONLY reason he is in business. Tiffany and Frank have always gone above and beyond for me while being seen. Sadly for them I’ve witnessed him treating them terrible. They deserve a medal for putting up with what I’ve witnessed. We’ll rewind to our first visit and After crying and debating over the package price me and my fiance decided to give it a try and take the care credit option hopeful of the few good reviews he had on here and anxious to finally feel better. After the first 4 months I felt no different but Dr Green assured me I would need more time and understanding and things don’t happen overnight, I paid for another four months. Mother of 3 and struggling as I had to move out of a mold environment with my kids and purchase all new furniture, etc. we went through all these “treatments” to get rid of the mold, heal my thyroid issues, Epstein Barr and others that were found. He kept telling me “numbers were going down” then that the “testing showed zero and my body was healed of certain things” yet I felt no different and if anything certain things were flaring up. I kept on with hope and I work in the medical field so I had blood testing done to check things he said were gone. They weren’t. And according to my results my numbers were still very much high. Keep in mind I let him tell me over multiple visits (months) that this was out of my body before I got tested outside of him. When I brought this to his attention he made excuses saying “it says right here it can be a false negative and that he was sure it was gone. My body said otherwise along with the results. He then proceeded to try and talk me into another four months of therapies and visits ($4,000). I was upset and told him I literally have no more money and still paying the 8000 I already owe with nothing to show for it and my fiance has been very supportive but with no change in my health he wouldn’t support more especially after 8 months. I was appalled when his response was “ I’m good at what I do and you should probably question who you are about to marry”. That was my final straw. After going gluten, dairy, sugar and grain free on top of the hundreds of dollars spent on supplements and all his added therapies… I am 40 and work out 4 times a week. I should feel like a million bucks. Oh and the “covered” lab tests also cost me $900. Do yourself a favor and research better than I did, take the negative reviews serious and save your money on this one. I have physical testing showing what he claimed to fix he didn’t. It was a hard lesson for me to learn.

I want to start off by clarifying that I am an actual patient, not a colleague or employee. I have been struggling for four years with mysterious symptoms that no doctor in the Atrium or Novant system was able to truly identify. Specialist after specialist within those systems, and only one Novant doctor was able to find an issue which was surgically corrected. I felt better afterwards, but I was not 100%. I decided to step out of the insurance world and found Dr. Green. Dr. Green spend a lot of time listening to me, which was extremely important because no other doctor listened to me during my entire ordeal. They chalked me up to anxiety ridden, which made me feel even more lost. Dr. Green is professional, knowledgeable, capable, and an outside of the box thinker. The first round of tests he ran for me revealed issues that I believe have been the reason for my lingering symptoms. Dr. Green’s willingness and expertise to check me for this issue probably saved my life. No conventional doctor even thought to run these tests for me. Admittedly, I am in the beginning stages of care, but I will forever be grateful to Dr. Green. The reviews posted by others is not the expertise I had with Dr. Green nor does it do him or his practice any justice. He deserves higher praise and I’m willing to give that praise to him. Thank you, Dr. Green. I can’t wait to fully heal now.

I am beyond embarrassed. I came to Dr Greene at my sickest and most vulnerable time. I wanted to believe that he could help me but it came at a high cost. I felt I had to make a decision on the the spot. He signed me up for care credit and promised they they could help with deferring some of the office costs. It just got worse! He was rude and intimidating. I tried to talk to him but intimidation seems to be how he works. I canceled office visits but he will not refund the huge amount he got from Care Credit. The staff is wonderful but the Doctor is not helping with these life altering diagnosis. I have spent a lot of time with Drs because I have a special needs daughter, I am shocked that Dr Greene is still in practice. He takes advantage of you at your worst!

I am beyond impressed with Dr. Green's knowledge and the services offered at this practice. I've been coming to this office for nearly 2 years and would recommend Dr. Green to anyone who wants to get to the root cause of their issues. This office has many valuable treatment methodologies. I feel lucky to have found such a comprehensive health care option!
