My career as a massage therapist began in 2004 upon completion of my certification requirements which included my graduation from Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health in Atlanta, GA. During my years of practice in the Atlanta area, I grew a successful massage practice via networking, establishing relationships with local chiropractors, and word of mouth. I was a faculty member at Rising Spirit Institute training students in the clinic as well as teaching Swedish and Deep massage techniques. At the end of 2007, I relocated to Portland, OR where I have primarily worked with chiropractors. During my years as a massage therapist, I have always been an eager student and have continued to evolve my technique through additional education.

My main modalities are Craniosacral therapy, Swedish/Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Neuromuscular Therapy. Often, I blend in other modalities that support the intention of care for the individual.

Joy gave me hope again! I came to her with some complex pain issues and a lot of fear. She eased my mind and my body! After the first session, I knew I was in the right place! Joy has a calm presence and great intuition. After months of X-rays, orthopedic surgeon visits and an MRI, Joy was the first person to actually help me to feel better. I’ve been working with her for a few months and I am experiencing hardly any symptoms anymore - which to me feels like a miracle! I highly recommend Joy, especially if you are dealing with an issue that you just can’t seem to figure out:)

Joy is a true professional and a master of her trade. Santa Cruz County has hundreds of certified massage therapist, but Joy really took the deep dive into her profession and studied so much more. Her craniosacral therapy was an intricate part of my healing from a serious pinched nerve problem that left me partially disabled. And a nice person.

I was truly impressed by Joy’s caring personality. She is very talented massage therapist and healer. I’ve been going through grief based anxiety for the past year and Joy is helping me tremendously to regain my energy back. Her intuitive work makes wonders.
