Dr. Lou Jacobs was born and raised in Farmington, Maine. He attended Mt. Blue High School and left one year early to begin his studies at The University of Maine at Farmington. He spent two years studying and working in Beijing, China. After returning from China he spent one year at The University of Chicago studying in a psychoanalysis graduate program that he left early to pursue a doctorate in chiropractic.Dr. Lou Jacobs is a native of Maine. He grew up in Farmington and attended UMF where his father is a psychology professor. For his last year of college and the first year after graduation Dr. Lou lived and studied in Beijing, China. Dr. Lou Graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri in 2002 and after working for a Korean Acupuncturist for 1 year, returned to Maine and opened Jacobs Chiropractic Acupuncture, PA. Two and a half years later his brother Dr. Max Jacobs joined the practice after graduating from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. Jacobs Chiropractic Acupuncture center has quickly become Portland's destination for people wanting down to earth healthcare in a hip but professional environment. The office works with everyone but also puts great emphasis on the care of musicians, children and families, artists, motorcyclists, performing artists, athletes, seniors and pregnant women.
