Jenny founded Holistic Massage of Hood River in 2004. With twelve years experience as a massage therapist, three years experience working at a physical therapy clinic, a masters degree in psychology, and specific training in yoga, pilates, and intuitive healing, Jenny has a great awareness of the body-mind connection and how both injuries and emotions affect the body. Jenny incorporates a variety of techniques into her massage sessions, including trigger point, deep tissue, therapeutic stretching, reflexology, shiatsu, energy work, and hot stone therapy. Originally from Seattle, Jenny moved to the Gorge in 2000 to ski patrol at Mt. Hood Meadows, and worked as a pro-patroller until 2009. She has a passion for being outdoors as well as spending time with family and cooking good food. When not in the office, she's likely out looking for wind on the river or the coast, finding powder stashes on the mountain, hitting up the mountain bike trails, or recharging in a local yoga class!Holistic Massage of Hood River was founded in 2004. We provide exceptional service and a great massage in a calming environment that facilitates the body's natural ability to heal itself. Our treatment philosophy is to approach each person as a whole, with the goal of achieving optimal health. This includes taking into consideration a person's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, and working collaboratively among all those involved in health care. We build co-operative relationships with acupuncturists, physical therapists, chiropractors, medical doctors, mental health therapists, and nutritionists in order to offer the highest and most complete level of care possible. Our intent is to help people become aware of the root of imbalances in their own bodies, therefore reducing pain and stress, restoring balance, and increasing an overall sense of well being and harmony.
