A propos

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Dr. Folden was the oldest of seven children and always loved helping people. Initially hoping to become a pediatrician, at age 16 Lisa planned to speak to her own pediatrician directly. Unfortunately, she did not get the opportunity as her doctor was swamped and spent no more than 3 min in the room with her. This prompted Dr. Lisa to do some research on medical careers that could mesh sports (Lisa was a cross country runner and dancer) with medicine and allow more time with patients. This led to Lisa's discovery of Physical Therapy. Completing PT school as a part of an inaugural Doctorate class (DPT) was a dream come true for Dr. Lisa. Now, managing Healthy Phit, spending time with her husband and three children and volunteering with her Sorority fill Dr. Folden's life with joy and purpose.Founded by Dr. Lisa Folden in 2012. After extensive experience in the school system, outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing, assisted living, home care and long term acute care hospital settings, Dr. Folden sought to create a practice that could address all aspects of rehabilitation to help as many people as possible.
