Before I was ever a physical therapist, I was a competitive powerlifter and an educator--after getting injured and learning about the world of rehab, my headstrong brain wouldn't let it go. I eventually changed my career intending to specialize in sports rehab, but my experience treating folks with neurological conditions shifted my entire worldview. After a neurological event, be it a stroke, spinal cord injury, or new diagnosis--one has to find the strongest parts of themselves to fight for recovery, summoning strength beyond which even competitive powerlifters have! Don't they deserve a clinic designed for them, with a therapist who will guide them through that hard work to help get them back to living the way they want to? I founded Headstrong to make this a reality. I am on a mission to make the pursuit of strength accessible to everyone.
