A propos

Dr. Mayland attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate studies and received his doctorate from Palmer college of Chiropractic in 2005. Since then, Dr. Mayland has become a certified Advanced Proficiency rated Activator Methods Doctor. Currently, Dr. Mayland is a member of the South Dakota Chiropractors Association's Board of Directors and chairs the Insurance Relations Committee and a very active member of the Harrisburg Community. He has served on various board within the community and enjoys volunteering for various events. Dr. Mayland, his wife Paula and 4 daughters reside in and enjoy being a part of the Harrisburg community. Treating patients in all stages of life, Dr. Mayland enjoy seeing a variety of conditions from headaches, neck and back pain, carpal tunnel, hip, ankle and knee problems to infant colic and acid reflux

I absolutely love the staff at Harrisburg Family Chiropractic. Dr. Mayland has been an absolute life saver during my pregnancy and after a car accident I had a few years ago. They also have incredible massage therapists!! I highly recommend them for your chiropractic and massage needs!

I highly recommend Harrisburg Family Chiropractic. I have been very pleased with the warm and friendly environment that Dr. Mayland and his staff have created. At each of my appointments, Martha and Penny always welcome me with smiles and are very personable. They take the time to converse and are very helpful when scheduling appointments at my convenience. I am grateful for Dr. Mayland’s professional care. He has a warm approach, listens well, and clearly explains treatments. I was waking up nightly and in the morning with headaches, and after treatments with Dr. Mayland I no longer experience these. After many conversations with Dr. Mayland, I know he has a genuine passion for his profession and loves working with and helping his patients.

I’ve struggled with persistent neck and shoulder pain for years following a car accident. Despite regular chiropractic adjustments the discomfort remained a constant part of my life. On my medical doctor’s recommendation, I began massage therapy with Betty which provided some relief from the pain and temporary relaxation, which I desperately needed. Curious to explore further options with this clinic, I decided to try Dr. Mayland’s unique activator method. I’m so glad I did - his approach significantly reduced my pain and improve my overall quality of life. The combination of expert massage therapy and precise chiropractic care has made a world of difference. I cannot recommend this clinic enough!

Dr. Mayland has been great. If you are used to some making adjustments on your neck like some bad youtube video this is not it. It might seem even counter intuitive like a weird simon says, but it works better than the crank and pop. Several times over a couple years I've gone and the results are always better than Dr. Crank.
