Joe Heiler, MSPT, is a Physical Therapist and Strength Coach. He was one of the first to become certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and is also certified as a Functional Movement Specialist, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, and Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 Golf Fitness Instructor. Joe is certified in the use of Graston Technique (GT) and Functional Dry Needling (FDN) and is the only provider in the Grand Traverse Area. He is also a lead instructor for GT, and has had the privilege of training the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and Minnesota Twins in Graston Technique. Joe is also the owner of the sports physical therapy site: SportsRehabExpert.com, the #1 online resource for sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. Through this work he has had the opportunity to learn from some of the best clinicians and strength coaches in the world. He has also been invited to speak at a number of conferences in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.Elite Physical Therapy and Sports Performance was built to deliver specialized manual therapy and physical therapy services in a one on one environment. The main complaint you'll hear from other PT's, and myself at times in the past, is that there is never enough time to spend with the patient and often times you're forced to have the tech/aide take the patient through much of the program. This practice was designed to be able to maximize the patient's time with the clinician, as well deliver unique services such as Graston Technique and Functional Dry Needling that you won't find elsewhere in Northern Michigan.
