Dr. Beckett has optimized his career the health and performance of elite athletes across the country. Prior to founding Dirigo Physical Therapy and Performance, Lloyd was the Head Athletic Trainer and Lead Physical Therapist for the Brooklyn Nets, after two seasons as the team's director of physical therapy. He was awarded the NBA's Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year award in his first season with the team. Before joining the Nets, he worked with the U.S. Marine Corps Special Operations in North Carolina as a physical therapist, and he also spent two years as a physical therapist at the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute in Nashville. Dr. Beckett has also spent time with the Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, New England Patriots, Providence College Friars, and Brown Bears. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees from Northeastern University, and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State University.Dirigo Physical Therapy & Performance was founded by Dr. Lloyd Beckett with the dream of offering elite rehabilitation and comprehensive athletic performance services to the greater Portland area. The goal of DPTP is to deliver the highest level of individualized care, utilizing only the latest in evidence-based practice. Drawing from specialized training and experience, we offer comprehensive programs, targeting the needs of each patient.
