A propos

Jay Alvaro has been a healing arts professional since 1996. He began his private practice as a licensed massage therapist in Portland in 2002. Combining his previous breathwork experience, martial arts, and massage training, Jay began to develop a distinct form of bodywork that accessed very deep states of transformation and healing. After maintaining a busy full time practice for over a decade, Jay began to see many common ailments and injuries from both lack of exercise as well as improper forms of training and movement. This inspired him to empower others by getting a 500 hour Personal Training Certification form NPTI in 2013. Since then, he has been integrating his extensive bodywork experience with fitness instruction to create his own unique exercise training systems. After years of maintaining both a busy massage practice and separate private training studio, Jay decided to bring them together in one facility by opening BODYHI Holistic Fitness in 2016.BODYHI Holistic Fitness has been restoring the Portland community since 2016. By combining healing arts and fitness, BODYHI a holistic and integrative experience.
