Dr. David received his bachelor of arts in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He later earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry from UCLA. In the course of his graduate studies, Dr. David patented a novel technique for introducing DNA into cells; this procedure is now licensed to Strategene, a biotechnology company. Dr. David was inspired to enroll at Life Chiropractic College West. The college invited him to join the faculty; Dr. David served as assistant professor of biochemistry, while pursuing his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2000. Dr Melody studied modern dance and choreography at Bennington College, trained at the Merce Cunningham School of Dance. Her interest in health and movement initially led her to become a licensed massage therapist and holistic health counselor. Dr Melody attended Life Chiropractic West, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2001, and awarded the highest honor for clinical excellence.Drs David and Melody moved to Eugene in 2002 and founded Body of Light Family Chiropractic. Both Doctors are proud members of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Body of Light is committed to giving back to the community and support many local, non-profit organizations including: Oregon Ballet Academy, Sparkplug Dance, Eugene Ballet, Eugene Family YMCA, Cherry Blossom Musical Arts, KLCC, Oregon Public Broadcasting, the Springfield DARE Program, Womenspace, FOOD for Lane County, Eugene 4J School District and many others. The Doctors are committed to enhancing the health and well-being of children and families.
