A propos

A second generation native to Naples, Dr. Jake Berman, PT, DPT graduated with the highest honors from University of Florida earning his Undergraduate Degree in Health Science. He then went on to finish the University of Florida Physical Therapy Doctoral program. Following graduation, he practiced 2 years at Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in Destin, FL., learning the complex philosophy of Primal Reflex Release Technique under Bob Seton. Before deciding to open his own practice, Dr. Berman furthered his education by practicing at Innovative Therapy Solutions in Jacksonville, FL specializing in Functional Manual Therapy™ with Aaron Robles. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors, college football, and family time.As insurance reimbursement rates for outpatient physical therapy services has continued to decline over the past 10 years, traditional clinics have had to compensate for this by increasing the number of patients that their therapists see. This new business model has an adverse effect on the treatment model. It just isn't possible to provide a quality manual service when your seeing 3-4 patients/hour. I have found that spending 1 full hour 1-on-1 with patients has resulted in DRAMATIC positive results. These positive results is what drove me to open Berman Physical Therapy. What would typically take 10-15 visits to see improvements at a traditional PT clinic, usually takes my patients 1-3 visits to achieve.
