Thuy Nguyen is founder and director of Berkeley Community Acupuncture. She received her Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in the year 2000 and has been evolving her practice and understanding of health, medicine and community ever since. Thuy's style of practice can be characterized by powerful simplicity and clarity-her ability to see to the heart of the problem and to hold the space necessary for healing to emerge. Aside from (or perhaps because of) her committed work to healing, she is often recognized by her joyful laughter, her 3 beautifully devilish children, her playful wardrobe, her whimsical creative obsessions, and her passion for all things magical.As Berkeley's first community acupuncture clinic, BCA opened its doors in 2007 with the intention to provide quality, accessible traditional Chinese Medicine. Since then, BCA has established itself as a pioneer in the traditional medicine field, promoting an understanding and practice of healing and medicine that begins with the individual and extends beyond. True healing creates a ripple effect into the world that is both real and profound. This understanding of healing is at the heart of what we do at BCA. At BCA, we say Heal Yourself, Heal Your Community.
