Baptiste Yoga is my practice. I love it for its alignment principles, for the strengthening of the body, mind, spirit and soul. I was able to work my way through significant injuries that had been longstanding in my body for many years. The recovery of my body led to emotional and spiritual growth. I practice yoga because it grounds me, calms me, and makes me strong. It's good work with good results. Through many stressful years, the principles of Baptiste Yoga have kept me healthy in body and mind, and helped me train my physiology to remain calm under difficult circumstances. As a chiropractor, and as a yoga teacher, I have the expert advantage of understanding anatomy and physiology from a therapeutic perspective, and I know how to bring people through injury and recovery. This expertise underlies all my teaching in the yoga studio. I look forward to holding space for students to do their transformational work and to discover the power yoga the way I did.Align Studios was conceived in 2014. First, it was a fantasy, a dream, a "someday" idea. Over time, and with practice and dedication, the dream grew legs and landed. We worked, sometimes slowly, but always with commitment, for two years to develop our vision for Align Studios. From the beginning, we knew that this would have to be an authentic offering from our hearts to the community - a place of empowerment, integrity, and love. Align Studios offers itself to the greater Portland community with absolute clarity and joy! This is a place for you, whoever you are, HOWever you are, to do some good work. Our combined backgrounds in alternative health care and dedicated yoga practice seamlessly flow together to hold a powerful space for transformation for all our students, patients, clients, community members, and friends. After a bad fall, a broken arm, and a hospital stay, I was able to come home alone, but I would need help for a while. I wouldn’t be able to drive, and I’d need help for a while with the basics like showering, meal prep, laundry, etc. My family did the research and learned about Align Home Care. I couldn’t have been more pleased. Align carefully chooses its care takers and matches them to their clients. Now, after I’m back on my own, I realize how fortunate I’ve been. Friendly considerate helpers were here as much as I needed them. We even made soups together, because I couldn’t chop vegetables with a broken right arm, and had lively conversations, if that was what I wanted.

I loved working for Align for many reasons, but mostly because of the commitment and love for the clients and the caregivers. In the last year, that changed to a more corporate environment. Make sure your loved one is fully staffing your needs! They use family but now it is anything but.

The entire staff at Align Home Care Services went above and beyond to provide care for my mother in her own home. Their initial interview with my mother was personal and detailed and they tailored her care to her individual needs and preferences. Align worked with our family to cover a sometimes challenging schedule, always in a professional and very caring manner. My mother's welfare was always their main concern. I cannot recommend their services enough.

Working with multiple home care agencies over the years, I can say that working with Sue, Heidi and the Align staff has been such a great experience. The care givers are professional and dependable and provide a high level of care to our residents. The management at Align is very involved with the day to day care that their staff are providing and even hands on when need be. Being a Nurse manager myself, I believe that this is why they have such an amazing team. I would highly recommend Align to anyone in need of home care services.
