À propos
Brenda Teal, founder and director of The Teal Center, is a graduate of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. She received her massage therapy training at The Atlanta School of Massage and her Neuromuscular Therapy certification with Paul St. John in 1985. In 1990, after four years of private practice, she founded The Teal Center with a vision of bringing together a group of similarly trained therapists who would work cooperatively, supporting and learning from each other, and offer clients the benefit of their combined knowledge and experience. Since then, The Teal Center has become known for its consistently high standard of service and as a dynamic professional community for its therapists.Brenda Teal started her massage therapy practice in her home on Capitol Hill in 1987, specializing in neuromuscular therapy for the treatment of muscular pain. In 1990, she opened The Teal Center at Randolph Towers, recruiting other highly-skilled practitioners to join her practice. Over the years, the Center has grown into a diverse and cohesive group of practitioners dedicated bringing the highest quality of bodywork and acupuncture to the public. Our mission is to provide compassionate and effective touch therapies along with other natural healing arts, and to educate other health professionals and the public about the value of these complementary approaches. In 2004 Virginia Hospital Center invited The Teal Center to open a clinic at the hospital. Located just off the lobby of the Women and Infant Health building we see patients here as well as medical staff and members of the broader community.
