À propos

Kalem graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy in 2004. He completed his McKenzie Institute International Diploma in 2014, which involved a two-year specialisation process including university coursework, a two-month full-time international internship and a final exam. Kalem has also taken courses in vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy, and from the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute. Kalem has been extremely involved in sport, which was one of the driving factors in him becoming a physiotherapist. He was a member of the National Team in Judo for over a decade. Kalem's therapeutic approach involves an emphasis on exercise, postural advice and education. He focuses on self-management principles and exercises, in order to allow the patient to take control of their pain or dizziness and understand how to reduce and often eliminate it from their lives. He also includes manual treatment to help progress towards the goal of a return to activities. This clinic was opened by Kalem Kachur to be the first Certified McKenzie Clinic in Quebec.

Active Solution Physiotherapy is the only certified McKenzie Clinic in Quebec. The McKenzie Method uses simple and surprisingly effective exercises specific to your injury and medical condition. It is internationally recognised and a thoroughly researched physiotherapy approach. Moreover, it is often effective when other approaches have failed for a variety of orthopedic/musculosketal problems: back and neck pain, headaches, tendinitis/tendinopathy, bursitis, joint pain, sprains/strains and more. Our clinic offers physiotherapy for orthopedic and sports related injuries, vestibular rehabilitation and home physiotherapy in Westmount, Verdun and le Sud-Ouest. Moreover, we offer occupational therapy for individual progressive return to work programs, work-site evaluations, ergonomic assessments and recommendations, evaluations for disabled parking permits and paratransit as well as home care. We accept patients from the CSST, SAAQ and private insurance. Fast changes occur in the majority of patients, often on the first visit.
