I am a licensed physical therapist, and I have been practicing in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine for over fifteen years. I have always had a passion for sports and fitness. Growing up, I played hockey, baseball, soccer, and football and later in life fell in love with running and triathlon. I am an avid alpine skier, and I have competed in marathons, triathlons, and adventure races and continue to play hockey- all of which drive me to stay healthy and fit. I enjoy being in the mountains and have found adventure racing to be the perfect test of endurance and outdoor skills that has led me off of the beaten path into some amazing places. I grew up in Vermont but spent ten years in Boston where I attended physical therapy school at Northeastern University and learned the art of physical therapy in arguably the best medical community in the world. I returned to Vermont in 2001 and founded ON TRACK with my wife Kim, our triathlon coach.OnTrack was opened in 2001 by three athletic professionals with a dream to heal and share their knowledge with others. A physical therapist, a sports and injury massage therapist, and a running and triathlon coach came together to create the motivating and inviting environment that has remained with OnTrack over the years. Through their efforts, OnTrack's members and clients make up a diverse group of individuals with one steady commonality: to pursue their best selves.

I can't say enough good things about On Track! The Functional Training classes provided me with an easy entry into the world of strength training and have pushed me to do things that I would have never been comfortable doing at a traditional gym. Ren and Molly have created an environment that is 100% supportive and 0% ego. Your workout is tailored to you but the group training makes the hard work fun and encouraging. Ozzy (the resident yellow lab) is a giant plus.

Ren is a fantastic trainer! I worked up the courage to ask for help in the gym so that I didn’t hurt myself! I started out with extreme back pain to the point of not being able to pick up a jug of milk… 6 years later and I am stronger than ever and I look back and think wow, I would never be here if I hadn’t asked! I have come a long way, and it feels amazing to be able to look at the numbers I’m lifting and know that I am capable of anything now! The gym environment is pretty awesome too! So much encouragement from everyone and that feels really good! Keeps you motivated!!.. Well along with the fact that the weight on the bar is always going up and gets heavier each week!

I wanted to slow down “feeling old” but didn’t feel comfortable navigating a gym by myself. The small group classes are great. I feel safe doing exercises I wouldn’t have thought I was capable of doing a year ago. The staff are all friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable. The other members too make it a comfortable and welcoming place. If you’d told me this time last year I’d look forward to going to the gym twice a week and miss it when I couldn’t get there, I wouldn’t have believed you. Thanks On Track.
