I'm Dr. Joe Palmer and I would like to tell you a little more about myself. My family and I moved to the panhandle area in 2000, where I attended Fort Walton Beach High school and OWCC collegiate high school. After I left home to attend the University of Florida (Go Gators!). After graduating, I started learning about Chiropractic. I was intrigued with it's holistic approach to medicine by treating the cause and not simply masking the symptoms with drugs. I was also amazed at the way it made myself and others feel after treatment. I knew that this was what I wanted to do. From there, I attended Texas Chiropractic College and graduated in 2012. I spent the next couple years in Pensacola as an associate and then came home to Destin in 2016, where I took a position here at Regatta Chiropractic.I'm Dr. Joe Palmer and I would like to tell you a little more about myself. Éducation et formation
I specialize in Chiropractic manipulation technique (AKA Chiropractic adjustments) which corrects subluxations within the spine. Basically subluxations are joints that are not moving correctly, which causes muscle tension, loss of range of motion, pressure on nerves, pain and inflammation, and decreased function in organs systems. I also specialize in myofascial release technique, adhesion breaking, and flexion distraction. All of which help reduce muscle tension, decrease pain, and increase motion. If you are moving better, you will be feeling better! In my approach to Chiropractic, I don't believe in a "one size fits all" in regards to a patients care. Each individual patient deserves a thoughtful, individual treatment plan based on their ever-changing needs. I would like to emphasize that this is your treatment, too. We want you to come in based on what your body needs for proper maintenance, to prevent conditions from developing or worsening. The only one who knows their body best is yourself. By working together and coming up with a plan that fits you, I think we can help reduce your pain, increase your motion, and improve quality of your life. Our office also offers massage therapy, IPL Photo Facials, and laser body slimming.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mike for chiropractic care and decided to try the Shockwave Therapy package — and it’s been amazing! After just a few sessions, I noticed significant improvement in my pain and range of motion. Dr. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what he’s doing and why. I was so scared to try a chiropractor. My sciatic nerve pain was non-stop. I was having trouble sleeping at night. Even driving was becoming more difficult. The pain going down my leg was limiting my mobility. The lady at the counter was really understanding and made me feel more comfortable. At my initial appointment Dr. Mike was very supportive. He recommended shock wave therapy instead. After the first treatment, I didn’t notice much of a difference. The second treatment was one week later with Dr. Amy. I definitely noticed a huge improvement. In between week two and three I was so excited to go back to feel better. After only 3 treatments, I’ve been great. It’s been about two months since treatment and I have not had any further problems. I really like the CBD menthol stick they use after treatment too. It was an amazing experience!
