I grew up in San Luis Obispo County, graduating from Morro Bay High School in 2002. At the age of nineteen, I had not yet figured out my professional passion and I worked as a mechanic specializing in Mercedes Benz automobiles to support myself as I pursued my athletic interests: rock climbing, wakeboarding, surfing, and racing semi-professionally as a downhill mountain cyclist. I also enjoyed off-roading during this time, an activity that both serendipitously lead me to discover acupuncture and unfortunately lead me to experience a thoracic vertebrae compression fracture. I rolled my truck 200 feet down a steep ravine on the Cuesta Ridge in San Luis Obispo, leaving me with what would be commonly termed a "broken back". After the accident, I had back pain that persisted for years and kept me from pursuing the kind of active lifestyle I wanted. I tried the typical routes for treatment, but in the end alternative medicine (Acupuncture) is what led me to greater health and less pain.Intuitive Acupuncture was opened in San Luis Obispo in 2013.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Jonathan at Intuitive Acupuncture has changed my life. I’ve been dealing with a lower back injury for 15 years. It finally got to the point where I have to be off of work for several weeks. Not only did the acupuncture help, Jonathan also gave me some workouts to do at home that have made the pain pretty much disappear. The office is clean, smells good and they are very professional. Would 100% recommend to anybody dealing with an injury. I can’t thank these guys enough!

Intuitive Acupuncture has changed my life. Having recently been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I was in excruciating pain all the time. My hands were barely functional, my legs were often so painful that I could barely walk, and my neck pain kept me from getting good sleep. After just one visit, I knew this was the healing place for me. Jonathan Olcott is an amazing healer. I will be forever grateful that I am able to reclaim my life, health, and vitality under his exceptional care. In addition, when you meet Kelly at the front desk, she will make you feel welcome, cared for, and at ease. Beautiful people offering superb care.
