I came to Fluvanna Family Chiropractic after trying other treatments for lingering lower back pain on my right side. The pain, which ranged from my piriformis to sacrum area, would flare up after being on my feet for a while and especially after playing a few games of pickleball — my new favorite pastime! Airrosti Therapy helped with one issue, but not this one, and I wasn’t ready to move forward with the nerve ablation procedure that Pain Management had suggested. Dr. Caratozzolo takes an incredibly thorough approach. Before doing any adjustments, he did X-rays, a computerized spinal exam, paraspinal thermography, and even checked my feet for orthotics. After 12 visits, I’d say I’m about 70% improved, which feels like major progress considering how stuck I was before. I’m so glad to have Fluvanna Family Chiropractic right here in my backyard — I don’t know of anyone else in the Charlottesville area who takes such a detailed, whole-body approach before beginning treatment.
