From a young age I have always wanted to help people heal and empower themselves. Physical Therapy has allowed me to do that. The more I learn and practice it, the more my passion grows to help individuals reduce their pain, and improve their understanding of their bodies. After several years across numerous settings include in-hospital, skilled nursing, assisted living, and even more outpatient clinics, I have grown to enjoy working with patients in their own homes the most. This is where I can see them as a whole and work with them in their world. Owning my private Physical Therapy practice has further allowed me to better care for patients, and go the extra mile for them without set limitations on how I can render my care, which needs I can address and for how long. I am truly honored to provide services to each and every patient I work with. I feel that my practice as a Physical Therapist has been growing for several years, apart from the creation of my business; so I would like to talk about my approach to delivering care. Not all patients bodies are the same. Tissue fiber composition and ratio, across the nervous, connective, and musculoskeletal systems affects which methods work best or least for a particular patient. I want to help uncover how your body responds to various methods and what it ultimately needs in order to set you up for success on your journey whether it is for recovery, prevention, or maintenance. Typically, a program includes exercises or activities that focus on strengthening, range of motion, extensibility, coordination, and/or balance. I will measure these limits, and re-assess your bodily mechanics. Furthermore, manual therapy may be necessary to release restrictions or improve mobility; and modalities such as cupping (suction), and/or transcutaneous electrical stimulation is also recommended.
