Dr. Pauline White-De Freitas, PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert. DN Pauline is a native from Jamaica; lived in New York for over 20 years and recently relocated to Florida 8 years ago. As a child, she aspired to be a Pediatrician, but choose to be a Physical Therapist following a volunteer experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility after high school. Dr. Pauline White-De Freitas, PT, DPT is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo where she earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006. She has been practicing for over 11 years with clinical experiences ranging from Acute care Rehab in the hospital setting to Home Care for Adult and Pediatric population. Dr. Pauline enjoys working mainly in the hospital, outpatient setting and treats patients with various conditions including congenital abnormalities, developmental delays, musculoskeletal injuries/ conditions, also sports related orthopedic injuries, joint replacement, strokes, overused/ chronic injuries.Cutting Edge Physical Therapy and Wellness & Wellness was founded in 2009 by owner Dr. Pauline White-De Freitas. Dr. Pauline was inspired to be an entrepreneur in the area of Physical Therapy even before starting her education in Physical Therapy school. Following a volunteer experience in a nursing home where she observed the struggles and mistreatment of the elderly and disabled by others who were hired to help, she felt that she could make a difference in helping similar individuals to regain their Independence and or to improve their ability to actively engage in performing the basic daily activities that we all take for granted when we're healthy and mobile. Cutting Edge physical therapy and wellness is a family-owned outpatient practice that started out solely as a Physical Therapy practice but has recently added other services such as Occupational Therapy Speech Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Nutrition and Fitness Training.
