Where to Find Your Bills
All invoices from Medximity providers appear in Billing on your dashboard. Each invoice shows the provider, date of service, charges, insurance adjustments, and your responsibility.
Common Billing Terms
- Copay — A fixed amount you pay at the time of service.
- Deductible — The amount you must pay out-of-pocket before insurance begins covering costs.
- Coinsurance — Your percentage share of costs after meeting your deductible.
- Allowed amount — The maximum your insurance will pay for a specific service.
- Patient responsibility — The total amount you owe after insurance processes the claim.
Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Your insurance company sends an EOB after processing a claim. The EOB is not a bill — it explains what was billed, what insurance paid, and what you may owe. Compare your EOB with the provider's invoice to ensure they match.
