Dr. Stemp is a fourth generation Tacoma native and second generation Chiropractor with deep roots in Washington State. He graduated from Clover Park High School in Lakewood and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Washington University. He then attended Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta Georgia where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He met his wife Dr. Catherine in Chiropractic school and in 1998 they returned to Tacoma to practice with his father Dr. Larry Stemp, D.C. Dr. Brian has three other family members who are also Chiropractors; his mother Dr. Susan Strobel, D.C. and his twin brother Dr. David Stemp, D.C., and his sister Dr. Amy Markhoff, D.C. who all practice in the area. Dr. Brian and Catherine now have four wonderful sons; Charlie, Henry, Anders, and Merritt. You can bet he is hoping that one or more of his kids will carry on the family tradition in Chiropractic.Stemp Family Chiropractic was first started by Dr. Larry Stemp, DC he is the father of Dr. Brian Stemp, DC, in 1973.
