Dr. Fiebert was born in New York. He received his B.S. in Physical Therapy from Hunter College, New York City and his M.S. in P.T. from Long Island University. In 1981 he was awarded a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He has been involved in academia since 1976. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine since 1988. He is responsible for instructing all courses related to the spine including Management of the Spine in the entry-level curriculum as well as the Instructional Methodology course in the PhD program. He has specialized in conservative management of patients with orthopedic dusfunctions related to the spine, head and neck, and has presented many seminars on back care, emphasizing posture, flexibility and prevention.PTI is owned by the two therapists who opened its doors 30 years ago; most PT offices currently are owned by hospitals, outside investors, public companies or physician owners answering to outside interests.
