As the owner of Lakewood Massotherapy, i have aspired to maintain a calm, peaceful, and healing environment. We encourage our clients to avoid talking during their massages and just enjoy their hour of quiet and relaxation. We hope that a massage at Lakewood Massotherapy will become a "good habit" and a weekly or monthly "gift to yourself!"While working the night shift on the orthopedics ward at Lakewood Hospital as an LPN, back in the 1970s, Veronica Brooke made a discovery that would change her life, and, happily, the lives of so many others. Often her patients would be in pain and find it difficult to fall asleep easily. While waiting for their pain medication, many of them would request a back massage to help them relax. Veronica enjoyed using the knowledge and skills she had learned as a nurse to administer therapeutic back rubs to her patients. They benefited from her caring and relaxing touch, especially while recuperating from major back surgery. One day, while reading an article about holistic healing, a rather new concept at the time, Veronica decided that she would like to go into a field where she could be more "hands-on" with her skills and compassion. Over the years, Veronica has grown her business and added many skilled and professional therapists to her staff.
