Dr. Doug is a Grand Rapidian, born and raised. He attended Union High School as well as GR Christian High (Go, Eagles!). Dr. Doug attended GRCC while working in the physical therapy department at what was then Butterworth Hospital. Dr. Doug moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 1996. In 2002, Dr. Doug and Kristin moved to Lake Tahoe, where he continued his clinical pharmacy work while enjoying the Sierra Nevada mountains. He left Lake Tahoe for Portland, OR, where he attended Western States Chiropractic College. After graduation, Dr. Doug was asked to stay on campus as an assistant instructor for spinal and extremity adjusting, soft tissue manipulation, and orthopedic testing and diagnosis. Dr. Doug has a Bachelor's of Science in Human Biology in addition to his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He has studied Shorin Ryu, Goju Ryu, Shotokan, and Tang Soo Do karate. Dr. Doug has been a Chiropractic patient since he was 5 years old.
