Have been going throughout my pregnancy and now postpartum and it has been wonderful! They now see my newborn and it's really great. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. I would highly recommend for pregnancy and postpartum!
I would not recommend. I have an old work injury and have a minor compression at l4 l5, this was diagnosed via MRI. I opted then not to have surgery. Every once in awhile it will bother me. This place was running a special on Facebook for disc decompression for $39 consultation. I had already met my deductible and max out of pocket so that part didn't really matter to me. At my consultation I thought I was going to be signing up for disc decompression. They did x-rays and determined that I didn't need decompression. How they determined that from an x-ray I don't know, because my compression was found on an MRI. Anyway, they made this treatment plan that consisted of injections, massage, physical therapy and chiropractic treatments. I'm no stranger to chiropractic treatments but again this place was closer to home and had later appointment hours that worked better with my work schedule. Everyone was nice enough don't get me wrong, but you feel like you're on an assembly line. The injections, I never noticed any difference. So I only had a few of them, because they did pinch and they weren't helping. The massage? That was a joke. I was told I would get a massage after my injections to help work it into my muscles and relax me for my adjustment. What I got was going into a very small very crowded gym area with one physical therapist working. (I would also like to note there was a second person, but they were sent home because they said they could handle it). This therapist wanted to use this jackhammer type gun on me as my massage. I was apprehensive but let her try it once. It was so painful I about went through the ceiling. So I asked her to do a manual massage. She obliged but it was very generic and very short. No doubt it was the end of the day and she was probably tired, but that doesn't excuse the fact that you don't get what you were promised or what you were expecting. Then the physical therapy. Again there was just one therapist, for five or six people most of the time. You're basically given a list of exercises that you did independently while she charted from earlier in the day or was having conversations with other staff or patients. No real oversight to make sure you were doing them right etc. Having worked in an outpatient therapy clinic before, I know this is not a golden standard. So that was a red flag. Then come the adjustment. The first adjustment I got was okay. It was a middle-aged doctor earlier in the day. But as I mentioned I needed later appointments due to work. So there was a much older doctor that you were sent to in the back after your therapy. He basically did a one size fit all two minute, if that, adjustment. I actually told him I felt like my upper back needed to be cracked more, he sighed and gave another little push but that was it. He seemed like he'd rather be bird watching then working. So I kept five or six of my appointments to see if maybe it was just an off day, but it seemed the more I went the less service I got. The last place I went to, which I went back to after this experience, first had you lay on a heated water massage bed or a heated massage chair to relax your muscles before your adjustment. Then they adjusted you and you felt great. I didn't have that experience here. Maybe I was spoiled? Maybe my standards are too high? In any event, I feel this place puts profit above service. Give them a try and be your own judge.
I am so grateful to have found this clinic. The staff is so thorough and caring. They took their time to figure out exactly what I needed and walked me through every step. They cared about my progress so much and made sure I stayed on track for improvement. As well the staff is fun, there is always a fun story to have. Truly great people!
Dr. Nick and his team at Family Health Physical Medicine are absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. The staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in their patients' well-being. Dr. Nick takes the time to listen, explain X-rays and or everything in detail, and create a personalized treatment plan that actually works.
I can honestly say that Dr. Nick and his staff are amazing. I have been seeing Dr. Nick since 2013 off and on for my back problems. When you walk into his office you are greeted with a hello and smile. Dr. Nick is very straightforward with you, he’s not the type to sugarcoat anything. If you want to get better you MUST FOLLOW THE PLAN!! It’s that simple, but sometimes we all do something to bring us back to him! 😂😂. I recommend anyone that is having any kinds of pain in their back, to make an appointment and come see Dr. Nick and his Staff at Family Health Physical Medicine you will not be disappointed. Dr. Nick is truly the Doctor with a heart. I can’t thank you and your staff enough! Be Blessed!
