Helping people to feel better and take control of their pain and their lives is a passion of mine. I was a competitive gymnast as a child and went to the chiropractor a lot especially when I had an injury or I had a competition coming up. (That's why I want to get people feeling better quickly). I graduated from the University of Michigan- GO BLUE!, traveled for a 1.5 years backpacking, hitchhiking and biking overseas. (I have great stories for my patients). I returned and went to LACC for grad school. I moved to San Diego in 1999 because I thought it would be a great place to raise a family. I enjoy all outdoor activities, biking, hiking (Torrey Pines), water sports, and basically keeping on the move. I have a passion in helping women with infertility, pregnancy and post natal care. I absolutely love children and have seen great results in the office. I work with the medical community a lot and really appreciate the interaction which results in the best care for my patients.Dr. Ruby has practiced since 1999 and began working at an out patient surgery center rehabilitation clinic. I worked along side a previous head of Orthopedic Surgery from UCSD. In the clinic we did physical therapy and strengthening for pre and post surgical neck/back/shoulder/knee/foot/hand/wrist injuries. She moved to private practice in 2001 and has been treating pre and post natal patients who have sciatica, SI pain (sacro-ilitis), neck pain, pubic symphysis pain, low back, sacral and pelvic pain). Babies and children are also seen in the office. Same day care is available. Dr. Ruby sees patients who have had auto accidents and we help them to navigate with their insurance issues and/or are seen on a lien. The patients may receive myofacial release, massage, ultrasound, electro-stimulation,traction, manipulation, strengthening, and/or custom orthotics while under care. It is a very friendly, warm environment and kids are always welcome.
