Scott Black is the Chief Executive Officer The Mission of American Indian Health and Services is to promote and provide quality services to improve the health and well-being of American Indians/Alaska Natives and other community members. Vision Statement We envision a vibrant community where American Indians, Alaska Natives, and the community are nurtured and values include a balance of care for the mind, body, and spirit. We envision a community health care center providing the care, education, and resources enabling clients to sustain a lifetime of health and wellness. Founding Values The founding values of AIH&S are (1) To supply medical, dental, psychological, legal, social, educational and related services to eligible American Indian/Alaska Natives requesting such services. (2) To develop and improve techniques for servicing the American Indian/Alaska Native community. (3) To encourage the formation and operation of services and programs addressing needs as they develop.

Welcome to American Indian Health & Services (AIH&S), where we provide quality medical, dental, pediatric and behavioral health services to all members of our community. Established in 1994 as a Santa Barbara based non-profit, our community clinic has served the Central-Coast's healthcare needs for over twenty years. Our patient-centered medical home model organizes primary care in a manner that emphasizes care coordination and communication between the patient and provider and outside specialists. We cultivate more engaging patient relationships and achieve better health outcomes by putting patients' needs first. Our doctors are leading the way in providing higher quality care at lower costs and improving overall experience in primary healthcare.

The medical clinic is a joke, doctors google symptoms, make assumptions about your conditions, and do everything they can to blame you and avoid responsibility. The front desk staff are mostly nice and the dental clinic is great though.

American Indian Health Services is Great. Always available when needed. Best Place to be when dealing with a medical issue. The Doctor's are all the Cats Meow. Enjoy!

The office doesn't even bother to notify you if there's a problem. Since Dr. Henning left, it's been a disaster; there are never any appointments available, and if you do get one, something happens to cancel it. And the person who receives patients with insurance, the doctor, is useless. Horrible service.

My daughter was assigned a pediatrician with AIHS. I have overall had positive experiences with lovely people, including her interventional orthodonture. Picture is from their dental clinic.

Have been going here for about 9 months and have enjoyed every visit (at least as much as possible at a dentist). They're very straightforward, no-nonsense, non-judgmental, and competent in their work. For a dentist that accepts Medi-Cal I feel like this is the best I could possibly expect 👍
