Data Sharing Overview
Medximity gives you granular control over how your health information is shared. You can manage these settings at any time from Profile > Privacy > Data Sharing.
Sharing Categories
- Demographics — Name, contact info, insurance (auto-shared with connected providers).
- Clinical records — Visit notes, lab results, imaging (requires your explicit consent per provider).
- Communications — Messages between you and a provider (never shared with other providers).
- Financial data — Payment history and billing details (never shared between providers).
Revoking Access
You can revoke a provider's access to your clinical records at any time. The provider will retain records from care they delivered but will no longer see records from other providers.
